Jose Bellido Flamenco Guitar Blanca NEW ARRIVAL!
Jose Lopez Bellido was born in Granada in 1943. He was a cabinet maker like may other great luthiers before he turned to the guitar. He learned in the workshop of the great Eduardo Ferrer.
In 1967, he set up his own workshop. Jose has made guitars for Edaurdo Ferrer and many other makers in the city. He has taught Antonio Raya Pardo, Bernd Martin and Armando Del Castillo.
I have been very lucky to have met Jose on many occasions and have struck up a very good friendship with him.
Everytime we meet I learn something more about guitar making!
Incidentally, he is also a very good flamenco guitarist.
From the famous Granada workshop, Jose Bellido is known for both flamenco and classical guitars. Having trained and worked with such luthiers as Eduardo Ferrer, Antonio Marin Montero, and Antonio Rayo Pardo, his guitars capture the traditional spirit of fine handmade concert instruments. This guitar has a strong bite that is matched with a subtle warmth, which makes it an amazing flamenco guitar.
Speaking from someone who has one, it is if not, one of Granada's greatest makers.
